Yes on both. Our sheer curtains are custom-made to your exact width and drop, and they arrive with the hems already sewn. Most ranges come with a choice of a weighted hem or a sewn hem, so there's no hemming for you to do.

Are the motorised curtain tracks wired or battery powered?

Our Motionblinds curtain motors are wire-free and battery powered. The battery disconnects easily for charging.

Can a blind be cut down to size after it's made?

No. Once a blind is custom-made to your measurements it can't be cut down and still work properly. The mechanism is built for that exact width, so trimming it breaks the operation.

Can a curtain track bend around a corner?

Yes, we offer bendable tracks that can curve around a corner. How tight a turn you can achieve depends on the track and the curtain heading, so check the spec before you order.

Yes, if you choose a pinch pleat heading. Pinch pleat curtains can be ordered with or without a track, and the price updates with your choice.

Can I buy stainless steel hinges for my shutters separately?

We do not sell shutter hinges on their own, in stainless steel or any other finish. Our plantation-style shutters ship as a complete unit with the hinges already fitted.

Yes, you can upgrade to a stainless steel chain for an extra cost. A silver chain that looks similar is included at no extra charge.

Can I get a day and night setup with honeycomb blinds?

We do not offer a day and night (light-filtering plus blockout) setup in honeycomb blinds. For two blinds in one window, a double roller blind is the way to combine a light-filtering and a blockout fabric.

Can I get a sample of a ceiling mount track for S-fold curtains?

We do not sell tracks or brackets separately, so there is no standalone track sample. The ceiling mount track and brackets are supplied as part of your S-fold curtain order.

Yes. When you customise a curtain you can choose a curved track, and our online builder handles bends up to 90 degrees.

Can I get curtains with a drawcord instead of a wand, and can I order extra fabric for a pelmet?

We don't offer drawcords on our curtains, so they come with a wand for opening and closing. We can supply extra matching fabric for a pelmet though, just email info@curtainandblindco.com.au with the dimensions you need.

Yes, we can make linked roller blinds. It is not a button in the online product builder because we prefer to talk the setup through with you first.

Can I hang curtains in front of existing Roman blinds?

Yes. We supply extension brackets that hold the track off the wall so the curtains clear your Roman blinds. We offer 160mm and 110mm extension brackets.

Can I have sheers across a wide window that stack to one side?

We can make a single curtain up to 5000mm wide, so most wide windows are covered. For a one-side look, order a centre-opening pair set to a free-running stack, which lets both halves slide together to one side.

Can I hide the track so the curtains look like they sit above it?

Not completely. All our curtains hang underslung from the track, so the track sits above the fabric and stays partly visible. You can make it less noticeable, but it will not fully disappear.

Blockout and sheer fabrics don't come as matched pairs, so there's no exact sheer twin of a blockout. We pair them by tone instead, suggesting a sheer that complements the blockout colour you've chosen.

Can I order a single panel shutter wider than 900mm?

No. A single panel on our plantation-style PVC shutters is capped at 900mm wide. For anything wider, we split the opening across two or more panels.

Our single-piece curtains go up to 5000mm wide. Past that, fabric and track integrity start to suffer, so for openings wider than 5m we make the curtain as a centre-opening pair that you draw to either side.

Yes. Many of our ranges can be made well beyond 2600mm using railroading, where the fabric runs sideways so the drop isn't limited by the roll width. Selected blockout ranges reach a maximum drop of 6000mm.

It depends which motor system is fitted to your blinds. C&BCo motorised blinds use one of three: Acmeda/Automate, Motionblinds Matter, or Motionblinds Bluetooth, and each connects a little differently. Once your blinds are installed and powered, follow the path for your motor below.

How do I spec ceiling-mounted S-fold sheers for width and fullness?

Our curtains are made at 200% fullness as standard, so we add the extra fabric needed for a full S-fold wave automatically. You just give us the finished track width you want, and our ceiling-mounted tracks use a standard U-shape profile.

How do I stop my roller blinds banging against the window in the wind?

Stick a strip of adhesive felt to the back edges of the blind's bottom rail. It cushions the rail against the glass so a draught can't make it clatter. We don't supply the felt, but any major hardware store sells it cheaply.

How far does a double roller blind stick out, and will light leak at the sides?

A double roller blind protrudes roughly 90mm from the wall. Recess-fitted, expect about a 15mm gap each side between the fabric edge and the architrave, so some light can enter at the edges.
