An S-fold sheer curtain, also known as a wave fold or S-wave curtain, is a type of modern window treatment that creates a smooth, continuous wave-like appearance when hung. Our S-fold sheer curtains are crafted with fabric that is sewn into a special header tape, allowing the fabric to fall in gentle, uniform folds from top to bottom.

Do S-fold sheer curtains need a special track?

Yes, our S-fold sheer curtains need a specially designed track. Our designer tracks are made from high-quality aluminium, featuring a stylish, slim and compact design that is strong and reliable. Available in powder-coated white, black or platinum colour finishes, they come with matching brackets and clear acrylic hand wands for easy use. Our versatile designer track can easily accommodate sheer wave fold curtains in both single and double curtain configurations. Most importantly, they're easy to install – if we can do it, so can you!

How much extra fabric for sheer fold curtains?

S-fold sheer curtains require more fabric than just the window's width to achieve their signature fullness. We provide our S-fold sheer curtains with 180-200% fullness, giving them ample depth and a truly luxurious finish.

How to measure and install S-fold sheers

You'll need a measuring tape, pencil, screwdriver and cordless power drill – a spirit level is also helpful. We'll supply the brackets and multi-purpose screws. For fixing into wall material like masonry or metal, additional screws will need to be obtained before installation commences as the ones provided are not suitable. When installing your S-fold sheer curtains, it's helpful to have an extra person available to help you lift and attach the curtain to your tracking.

How to hang S-fold sheers

To hang your S-fold sheers, simply loop the hooks on the back of the curtain through the curtain runners. To achieve the desired wave effect, ensure that the waves are evenly spaced both in front of and behind the track. If any waves appear too shallow, gently push them to create a deeper wave at the back. Try to make sure each track runner has a dedicated hook to avoid uneven hanging.
