How do I clean Roman Blinds?

Life happens — fingerprints, splashes, the occasional mystery mark. A quick spot clean with a soft cloth, mild detergent and warm water will usually do the trick. Gently dab (no aggressive scrubbing — we’re not sanding a deck), and avoid harsh chemicals. A little regular TLC is all they need to stay looking sharp.

Are Roman Blinds good for blocking out light?

Our blockout Roman blinds do a solid job of darkening a room. When fully lowered, the fabric creates one smooth panel across the glass. Because Romans are face fit, you may get a small amount of light around the edges — it’s normal. If you’re after near-total blackout, we’d suggest pairing with curtains or exploring recess honeycombs or a face-fit backward roll roller.

Can I recess fit Roman Blinds?

Short answer: no — and that’s intentional. We’ve found recess fitting can interfere with how Romans operate, so we only offer face fit. The upside? Face fitting frames the window beautifully, gives better coverage, and lets the folds stack neatly without catching or rubbing.

Can I install Roman Blinds myself?

Yes — that’s the whole idea. Your blind arrives ready to go with clear instructions and everything you need in the box. No special tools, no trade background, no drama. Most customers have them up in minutes. If you like to feel prepared, our Measure & Install page has you covered.

What do you charge for delivery?

For orders of over $199 value, we offer free delivery to major Australian metro locations. This excludes shutter orders, which cannot be shipped for free due to the parcel sizes and weights involved. Delivery costs for shutter orders are calculated at checkout before payment is required. For orders of less than $199 value or for orders being shipped to outer metro and regional areas (outside of the Northern Territory and Tasmania), we charge a modest $50 flat fee. Orders dispatched to the Northern Territory and Tasmania carry a standard flat fee of $150. We want to be as transparent as possible with our shipping costs, so please review our ‘Delivery & Returns’ page (via the link in the website footer) before ordering.

What happens if I'm not home for my delivery?

All of our customer orders are shipped with automatic 'authority to leave' advice for the freight partner or local courier. However, if they cannot find a secure area to leave your goods, a card should be left with customer collection and/or re-delivery details. If this is not the case, please contact us for support.
