Can Roman blinds be recess fitted?

No. Roman blinds are face fitted only. They mount on the wall or window frame above the recess, not inside it.

Face fitting sits the blind above and over the opening, which gives a clean overlap and reduces light gaps at the sides.

Measure for a face fit by allowing overlap past the window opening on each side and at the top, so the blind covers the glass fully when down.

Tip: Order a sample first to check the fabric, then measure the area you want the blind to cover, not the recess itself.
