How do I fix curtain track brackets into brick or masonry?

Drill 6mm pilot holes about 35mm deep, insert 8G 6mm wall plugs, then fix the brackets with the supplied screws.

  1. 1

    Mark your bracket positions

Hold each bracket where the track will sit and mark the screw holes level on the wall.

  2. 2

    Drill the pilot holes

Drill 6mm pilot holes about 35mm deep with a masonry bit at each mark.

  3. 3

    Insert the wall plugs

Push an 8G 6mm wall plug into each hole until it sits flush with the surface.

  4. 4

    Fix the brackets

Screw the brackets to the wall using the supplied screws, tightening until they are firm.

Brick and masonry need a wall plug so the screw has something to grip. Without the plug, the fixing works loose under the weight of a loaded track.

Note: Use a masonry drill bit for brick and check for pipes or wiring before you drill.
