Curtain check measure guide

Thank you for shopping with The Curtain and Blind Company. Every effort has been made to ensure we've delivered perfectly made curtains you'll enjoy for many years to come. However, if you feel something isn’t quite right, we’d like to resolve your concerns.
To help identify any possible issues, we require the following troubleshooting steps to be undertaken and if required, some check measure information to be shared.
It's essential we receive all the requested information so we can accurately assess your situation. If the information is not shared in full, it may prevent us from offering a satisfactory resolution such as an adjustment, repair or replacement.
Troubleshooting steps
If you have successfully installed your curtains but feel there is a problem with the size or fitting, please undertake the following troubleshooting steps first:
1. Ensure you have installed your curtains exactly as per our installation instructions. Accurate and even bracket spacing is particularly important to help achieve a consistent drop across the curtain width.
2. Check the top of the track is fixed exactly where you measured the drop from originally. Please note that our face fixed brackets will always sit about 10mm higher than the top of track position and the brackets are not included in the total drop length.
3. Using a spirit level, check that your fitted track is horizontally level across its entire width. Also check the flooring is level across the same width. Curtain & Blind Co. cannot be held responsible for uneven curtain fitting where the ceiling or floor is not level.
4. Check your brackets are completely secure and have not started to pull away from the fixing surface. When fixing into plasterboard, ensuring brackets are securely screwed into a stud or batten is essential. If timber is not present behind the plasterboard, additional fixing items like spring toggles or plastermates should be used but results may vary.
5. For S-fold headed curtains, check every track runner and curtain hook have been connected and the numbers match. If they do not, count each item (runner and hook) and share this information with our customer support team so they can assist.
6. If you find your S-folds are not hanging uniformly try re-dressing your curtains. Carefully follow our curtain dressing guide as in most cases, redressing your curtains will fix any presentation concerns.
If concerns persist, please undertake the following check measure process.
Check measure process
Please measure the distance from the top of your installed track to the floor in three areas: left, middle and right.

Provide this check measure information along with a short video clip showing the entire tape measure from the top of the track down to the floor in each area. Please ensure the tape measure is secured at the top of the track (some tape or blu-tack can help) and runs in a straight vertical line from top to bottom.

Email the relevant check measurement information and supporting videos to info@curtainandblindco.com.au. If needed, use a file sharing service such as Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer to send your video files.
We’ll get back to you at the earliest possible opportunity with our assessment and proposed next steps. This may include a request for additional details if we believe they are needed.
While the assessment is underway, we also recommend reviewing our measuring and installation guides to re-familiarise yourself with these processes, along with our Terms & Conditions.
