Over time, the surfaces of our shutters will naturally accumulate dust. Regular cleaning helps maintain their appearance and functionality.

Routine cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth or brush for regular dusting. This will effectively remove surface dust and prevent buildup.

Deeper cleaning: For more thorough cleaning, use a solution of mild household dishwashing liquid and water. Apply with a soft cloth and ensure the surfaces are completely dried afterward.

Stubborn marks: For tougher dirt or stains, only use mild, water-based household cleaners.

Special considerations for coastal or damp areas: Hinges, magnets, and catch plates in coastal or humid environments should be cleaned regularly to remove airborne contaminants that may cause corrosion or pitting.

Maintenance of moving parts: Apply a food-grade silicone spray periodically to pivot points and moving components to reduce friction and prevent binding. Avoid using petroleum-based lubricants.

CAUTION: Do not use abrasive cloths, harsh chemicals, chlorine, or ammonia-based cleaners. These can damage the surface finish, shorten the life of your shutters, and void the warranty.
