Fix the cord tension clip at least 1,600mm above the finished floor. This keeps the chain or cord out of young children's reach, in line with Australian child-safety requirements for corded blinds.
The tension clip holds the cord loop taut against the wall or architrave, which stops a loose loop forming that a child could reach.
Always screw the clip into something solid so the cord stays under tension and can't be pulled free.
