MeasuringIf I face fit blockout roller blinds, how do I measure sheers to sit in front?
Face-fit roller blinds sit out from the wall, usually 60 to 90mm depending on the blind and bracket, so your sheer curtain track has to project past that to let the sheers fall cleanly in front. Selecting extension brackets gives the track around 180mm of projection, which clears a face-fitted roller comfortably.
When a roller blind is face fitted, its bracket holds it proud of the wall. A standard sheer track would push the curtain into the blind, so you need extra projection.
How to get the clearance
- Choose extension brackets when configuring your sheer curtain track. This gives roughly 180mm of projection, plenty to clear a 60 to 90mm face-fitted roller.
- Or, where you can fix into the ceiling, choose a top-fix (ceiling-mounted) track for a sleeker finish that clears the blind without bulky brackets.
Tip: Check the exact projection of your specific roller blind and bracket before ordering, since deeper brackets need more clearance.
