InstallHow should I position sheer and blackout curtains on a sliding door?
Hang the blockout curtain on the track closest to the window for the most light control, with the sheer on the room side. Leave at least 80mm between the two tracks so both curtains draw freely.
Two ways to layer
Put the blockout closest to the glass when blocking light matters most, for example over a bedroom slider. It may overlap part of the adjacent glass panel, which is normal.
Put the sheer closest to the glass instead if you want softer daytime light and the look of a taller window.
Mind the gap
Keep at least 80mm between the sheer and blockout tracks. That clearance stops the two curtains rubbing as they open and close.
