How do I install my shutters if the frames aren't pre-drilled?

Follow the install instructions packed with your shutter order. If a frame isn't pre-drilled, you can drill your own pilot holes through the frame to fix it into the recess or wall.

Our plantation-style shutters are PVC and built for DIY install with basic tools.

If the frame isn't pre-drilled

  • Drill your own pilot holes through the frame at even spacing.
  • Fix into the recess or wall behind, checking the frame is level as you go.
  • Work from the supplied instructions for the fix points specific to your frame style.

Tip: Drill a small pilot hole first so the PVC doesn't crack or wander when you drive the screw.
