How do I attach a curtain track to the wall?

You face-fix the track to the wall on brackets, or top-fix it to the ceiling or a batten. Your curtains hang underslung from the gliders, so they sit just below the track.

Face-fix to the wall

Most of our customers face-fix. You screw the brackets to the wall above the window, then clip the track onto them. For brick, masonry, or timber the screws we supply will do the job. Steel-frame homes need their own screws from a hardware store.

Get the height and width right

Mount the track high and wide so the curtains clear the glass when open. As a guide, fix the track about 150mm to 300mm above the window and extend it past each side so the stacked fabric sits on the wall, not the glass.

Tip: If two curtains butt into a corner or each other, plan the join before you drill. Email info@curtainandblindco.com.au with a photo or floor plan and we will work out the track deductions for you.
