How to install Roller blinds

Now that you've received your new roller blinds, let's dive into the installation process. But before commencing, please check that all the below fixing parts have been supplied.

The number of fixing parts will vary in relation to the size and number of blinds supplied.

The following tools and instruments are required to complete installation safely and accurately:

• Power drill

• Phillips head screwdriver

• Pencil, paper & tape measure

• Spirit level

• Small step ladder (if required)

• Protective eyewear & gloves (if drilling into masonry, metal or tile)

    Installing your roller blinds

Before commencing, verify the correct fitting position using your order summary. A recess fit blind is installed inside the frame of your window.

    1. Install your mounting brackets

Lift each bracket into position and mark where the screws will attach the bracket to the frame. Pre-drill two holes in the marked positions then secure the control bracket with the provided screws. Repeat the process for the idle bracket. Please note, wall mounts may need to be sourced and used depending on your wall surface.

    2. Attach your blind

Insert your roller blind into the idle bracket so the spring pin clips into the guide hole. Then, carefully align the chain control side with the control bracket. Push the blind into the cross section of the bracket, ensuring the chain is hanging directly down. Then hook into place with a gentle downward motion.

Position the child safety device at the bottom of the chain loop drop and screw it into the mounting surface (face or recess as relevant), making sure that the looped chain hangs with minimal tension.

If you ordered a face fit blind, bracket end covers will be supplied. Attach the two bracket covers to the outside of the mounting brackets, one on each end.

    Need extra help?

Can I remove my roller blind?
Yes, you can. First ensure the blind is fully and firmly rolled up. Then, turn the clear plastic wheel in the idle end of the blind (this will only turn one way) until there is a click indicating the pin is fully retracted. You will now be able to remove the roller and fabric skin of the blind from the brackets.
Can I switch my chain to be on the other side?
Yes, it just requires a small adjustment to your roller blind's control drive. We recommend reviewing the detailed guide on our measure and installation page, or contact us for advice.
How do I clean my roller blinds?
Cleaning roller blinds involves dusting them with a feather duster or vacuum cleaner, spot cleaning stains with a mild detergent and water solution, rinsing with clean water, air drying thoroughly, and maintaining regular dusting to keep them clean and fresh. For heavy stains, consider professional cleaning or following the manufacturer's instructions for washing.
My blinds seem to have creases, can I get rid of them?
Horizontal lines may appear on the roller blind fabric due to their packaging. These will fade once the blind has been hanging fully extended for at least 3 days. In the event this issue persists, please contact us for further guidance.

    Important Safety Information

The Australian Competition and Consumer (Corded Internal Window Coverings) Safety Standard states that a corded internal window covering ‘must be installed in a way that a loose cord cannot form a loop 220mm or longer and at less than 1600mm above floor level’.
