Christmas orders and trading update

Well, it’s that time of the year when we’re in the midst of our busiest period and the orders are flying out at a speed Santa’s elves would be proud of! As we approach the festive season itself, there are a few important updates to share about order and delivery timings as well as the support team’s availability.

Order cut-off for Christmas delivery

We are currently making and dispatching most orders in 15 working days, and we’ll keep doing this right up to Friday 20th December. However, orders placed from December 1st onwards are less likely to arrive before December 24th, and this chance lessens with each passing day.

So, if you’re still weighing up whether to go for some new curtains or blinds for Christmas, we’d strongly recommend getting your order into us before December 1st.

With regards to shutters, please note that due to the more complex manufacturing and shipping requirements, the turnaround time is typically 8-weeks. Therefore, any shutter orders placed from early November onwards will be delivered in early 2025.

If you’d like to enquire about an existing or new order, please feel free to contact us by email info@curtainandblindco.com.au or phone 1300 301 368 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm weekdays).

While every effort will be made to ensure prompt delivery, unforeseen circumstances and seasonal shipping capacity means an arrival date cannot be guaranteed.

Will you be trading over the festive period?

As an online seller we never really close, but we will be taking a well-earned break from The Curtain and Blind Company HQ from midday 24th December (AWST) to Thursday 2nd January 2025. During this time, our ability to reply immediately might be limited but we will endeavour to be reachable for anything deemed urgent. Our factory will be closed from 24th December 2024 to 6th January 2025.

Do you ship curtains and blinds together or separately?

In some cases they will come together, but as we usually ship our products as soon as they are ready, you may receive two different shipments if you ordered your curtains and blinds together. Often blinds are a little faster to be dispatched, so if you only receive one part of your order, rest assured the other won’t be far behind.

I’ve made a mistake; can I change my order?

If you discover you’ve made an error with your measuring or product selection, then please get in touch as soon as you can. We’ll do whatever we can to help resolve the situation, but keep in mind we normally start production on orders quite quickly!

Will I get tracking information for my order delivery?

We use several delivery methods and depending on your location we may even organise a private courier for your last mile delivery. So, it’s possible your order may not always have a tracking number, although the majority do. If you’d like to know the whereabouts of your order please keep an eye out for an email with tracking details, or feel free to get in touch by email or phone.

Can I get up-to-date delivery tracking details from the shipping agent?

Yes, you can. The tracking email we send will allow you to see when each delivery milestone is completed. However, if you head to TNT’s Track & Trace website you can check the delivery status and register for automatic updates using the tracking reference we’ve shared. Once you have this set up, you can also liaise directly with TNT support. This may be handy if you encounter a delivery issue while we’re unavailable due to the festive break.

My tracking says ‘delivered’ but I only have part of my order, what should I do?

As the demand for parcel deliveries peaks in the last few weeks before Christmas, we do find that order deliveries of more than one box can become separated during transit and are delivered at different times. Typically, the missing box (or boxes) are delivered within 1-2 days of the first item arriving, however, if you want to find out more about your shipping status, please contact us for support, or use the details mentioned above to contact TNT directly.

Can I get a jump on installation?

Absolutely, after all, prior preparation prevents poor performance! Click on the button below to learn how easy it is to install your new curtains and blinds. And if you have any questions afterwards, we can provide some advice ahead of the big day.
