How to install your timber venetian blinds
Installations can vary slightly so be sure to follow the instructions carefully on the sheet provided.
Use a pencil to mark where you’re going to fasten the bracket and then drill holes smaller in diameter than the provided screws.
In most scenarios, the screws provided will be suitable to mount the brackets.
However, if you need to fix the blind to a window lintel or into masonry, you may need to source more appropriate screws and plugs.
Our blinds brackets are great because you can fix them at the top or side.
Once you’ve attached the mounting and centre support brackets with a screwdriver, push the headrail into the brackets, then press the gate down until it clicks into place.
When operating the blind always tilt the slats horizontally before raising or lowering. This will extend the life of the blind, and makes the movement easier and smoother.
To finish the installation, gently attach the valance clips to the back of the valance and hook the clip to the top of the headrail.
Remember the blind must be fitted with the safety devices provided to comply with legal requirements.
